About Us

Hearts and Hands Stafford is a community led non profit organisation servicing Stafford and the surrounding villages We deliver free food parcels, man surplus food points in Stafford area, collect and distribute surplus food to community groups, schools and other charity groups and help other community groups source items for those in need. We are continually fundraising at markets and fairs to continue the work in the community.
Spearheaded by Katie and Lorraine (who serve as the Community Project Managers of Hearts & Hands) and a dedicated team of volunteers. Initially we focused on helping primarily those affected by reduced income, for those on furlough and those who have slipped through the net and need a bit of help during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now we predominately help working people who need a bit of a helping hand, zero contracts, part time, reduced hours and self employed The voluntary team at Hearts and Hands have the needs of the community foremost in their mind with the mission to help wherever they can to those who are in need, breaking the social barriers and giving assistance where needed Working with other charities and community groups within the area, signposting people to those that can also assist and support We also believe in respecting people’s dignity and confidentiality is a priority Assisted by local supermarkets supplying surplus food that would normally go to waste and distributing free of charge to the community; Lidl Stafford, Tesco, Sainbury’s, Waitrose, and Marks and Spencer the local milkman ADW Milk and several independent businesses, have allowed the team to distribute food parcels at no charge to those who are in need as well as stock the Surplus Food Tables and Bread Stations Hearts and Hands collection points are scattered throughout the area, outside the homes of community minded people who collect dry food and tinned food goods to add to the stock at Hearts and Hands to be given freely Non food donations, household items and new or like new clean clothing are also collected and given back out into the community or to other charities Working with the blessing of several Stafford Borough Councillors and registered with Support Staffordshire & SCVYS Hearts and Hands Stafford is going from strength to strength with strong committee and great team of key volunteers Our motto; never look down on someone unless you are helping them up !init predominately help those on reduced  workingand self e
